Marvel Announces Their Plans For The Future – Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Ant Man, Guardians of the Galaxy
If you haven’t heard by now, Marvel made some rather large announcements this week in regards to the future of Marvel movies… and it was awesome. We can expect 5 new movies from Marvel in the next couple years, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy. The schedule going forward looks like this:
- Iron Man 3 – May 3, 2013 (Directed by Shane Black)
- Thor: The Dark World – November 8, 2013 (Directed by Alan Taylor)
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier – April 4, 2014 (Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo)
- Guardians of the Galaxy – August 1, 2014
- Ant Man – TBA (Directed by Edgar Wright)
So it looks like we’ll have a lot to talk about going forward. We hope to keep this site updated with all of the latest and greatest information regarding all of these “Avengers related” flicks, so make sure to keep checking back as the release dates get closer.

Guardians sounds great as well as all the others. Wonder if Guardians will be tied into the next space Avengers movie, Nova & Dr. Strange. Hoping Spidey will make Avengers as well as be part of a Marvel Knights movie with rebooted Daredevil & Elektra, Punisher, Ghost Rider & even a Moon Knight (technically Avengers) flick. Hope Ant-man is Hank Pym (vs. the new perv) which will include Wasp and maybe end up becoming Giant Man by the end of the flick. Awaiting FF reboot. Loving all these new flicks even though I’m a total stickler against all the continuity tweaks that I always consider blasphemy! (Why the hell does Dr. Doom date Jessica Alba? Stupid! It’s not even in either regualr OR Ultimate universes.)Maybe the next FF could include a story with Namor or Him/Adam Warlock and/or Surfer with actual appearance of Galactus vs the High Evolutionary (from the 70s). As long as they don’t bring the Impossible Man. Looking forward to an active Marvel Movie Universe with a movie a month, and hoping Disney has a huge Marvel section as they triple size by 2016, and that Disney does NOT screw up the movies once the current pre-takeover contracts end. Who knows….if Hulk doesn’t stay in Avengers long like originally in the 60′s, with a Dr.Strange movie in the works, maybe a Defenders movie would even be possible & cool. PLEASE Let Halkeye get SOME resemblance to a purple mask show up & have a little freaking humor true to character in next movie now that he’s not a Loki-zombie. Vision, Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver need to show up before they cram the next decade of history into the 3rd or 4th Avengers flick please! And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE we all want to see Ms. Marvel which means Capt. Marvel, Rick Jones, Thanos as well. Hmmmm…….Kree/Skrull war? SpiderWoman starriing Angelina!!!! LOL Black Panther! Kazar! FF & Inhumans! Deathlok! Even the original Micronauts 12 issues by Marvel! Is there any talk of Wolverine making an Avengers appearance or a complete reboot of X-Men doing it right this time & starting with original team 1st movie then #94 NEW X-Men & then Dark Phoenix Bryne saga in space with ShiAr? COME ON!
How could I forget Silver Sable & Heroes For Hire including PowerMan & Iron Fist, Sandman, Paladin & Prowler?
Or an INVADERS MOVIE with Sgt. Fury & Howling Cammandos/Bucky, original black Capt. America prototype cameo (father of Young Avengers cap) Maybe this could be the prequel to Namor movie, explain how Fury & DumDum also have super soldier syrum.
and crazy enough…….even a Marvel Team-Up movie occasionally with Spidey AND……

Maybe someday these movies will make my collection worth something again!
What ever happend to the movie “Luke Cage, Hero for Hire”? I thought it was in the making.
I wish they’d make Captain Americe a little more stronger and faster. His character in the first avengers seemed very weak. There wasn’t something special about him.
