The Avengers Told Through Captain America’s Perspective
If any of you were wondering how the Avengers would be told narratively, it seems that you’ve gotten your answer. As we all know, Captain America has always been the leader of the group in the comics, and that will now translate over to the big screen as it appears we will see this story unfold through is perspective.
“So much of [The Avengers] story takes place from Steve Rogers’ perspective, since he’s the guy who just woke up and sees this weird-ass world,” Whedon says. “Everyone else has been living in it. He’s the guy that feels that sense of loss.”
That particular statement makes me wonder though because Thor isn’t from this world either. Isn’t this world even weirder to him? Also, as far as we know, from his solo movie at least, he was on earth for like what, a couple of days?? Not to mention that the last time we saw Thor, he was back on Asgard with no way of returning to Earth. At least Steve Rogers is from Earth. I’m sure they will address this in the movie (at least I hope!), but it’s something to think about.

If you remember, Loki was able to come and go from Asgard without the use of the ranbow bridge. Perhaps the Asgardians located one such route.

Thor has spent plenty of time on earth prior to his exile in the movie. Remember Thandrill says to him “This isn’t like Earth…” where he conjures a little lighting and people worship him like a God? Obviously, Earth was not unfamiliar to him, although one gets the sense he hasn’t been here in some time.
