Could Mark Ruffalo Be The Incredible Hulk in The Avengers?

According to Deadline Hollywood, Mark Ruffalo may be close to being cast as Bruce Banner / The Incredible Hulk in The Avengers.  This comes as a huge surprise to me.  After losing Edward Norton, I assumed they would be going with a cheaper / lesser known actor to fill his shoes and there were whispers yesterday that Joaquin Phoenix was in the running for the role.  As it turns out, we’re getting someone just as good, who knows, maybe even better.  So far, this isn’t confirmed, but Nikki Finke is saying that he’s in “Late-Stage Talks”, so we’ll see.  I’m gonna keep my fingers crossed for this one to happen.

Yeah, Mark Ruffalo would be great! He’s such a good actor and I think he could do a really great job. I always felt that Norton was a little bit out of place as Banner, or maybe it was The Incredible Hulk’s script, but it just didn’t feel right. It felt forced.

I hope Ruffalo does a better job!

I can’t wait til Comic Con, can’t they just tell us now who’s gonna be in The Avengers??

I kinda like this choice. Mark’s an amazing actor and I could totally see him pulling off the anger/despair of The Hulk. I hate to admit it but, that’s a nice choice, Marvel!
