Sorry for the bad joke, but we received this interesting tidbit about “LOST” star Josh Holloway over the weekend. Apparently there’s been talk between Marvel and his group to play a “lead” role in an upcoming Marvel film. We mention a “lead” role because these bigger actors often won’t sign “retainers”, meaning everything should be 100% locked (character, film, etc) for Josh once he’s signed the dotted line. We have no idea who he could be playing or how soon he could sign, but here are some of our thoughts we've compiled with the subtle hints we've received.
- Henry Pym (important role in “The Avengers” and its sequels, lead role in “Ant-Man” spinoff.)
- Clint Barton/Hawkeye (maybe a S.H.I.E.L.D. member in “The Avengers” with a starring role in the “S.H.I.E.L.D.” spin-off or a future Avengers sequel.)
- Timothy “Dum Dum” Dugan (important S.H.I.E.L.D. member in “The Avengers” and its sequels, and lead role in the “S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff)
Only time will tell who Holloway could sign onto play, this casting has us excited though because we are big fans of Josh Holloway here at AvengersNews.com.

I can see Josh as being excellent for the role of Hawkeye! He’s got Clint’s “swagger”.

Before X-Men Origins: Wolverine came out with someone else in the role, my wife suggested Josh Holloway would be perfect for Gambit.

The Shield spin off was broke over at Blue Sky Disney and they also talk about a potential animated Shield series as well. That would be awesome.
Take that G.I. Joe!

Not everything Marvel is Avengers or X-men related.
I say they’re talking to him about a Ka-Zar movie.
He’d be perfect… he looks just like him AND he has experience with uncharted tropical isles full of weird crap.
