UPDATED: Nathan Fillion as Henry Pym? Not so fast. Plus, more on Kevin Pennington’s role.
A recent report has stated that Nathan Fillion has been cast as Henry Pym and the announcement would be happening closer to Comic-Con, if not at it. According to our source, Henry Pym is not close to being cast yet. We did not get any confirmation that Henry would be in the film, although it is very likely, but our source has confidently told us that Nathan Fillion has not met with anybody at Marvel Studios regarding the film or any roles in the Marvel Universe.
Our source also filled us in on Kevin Pennington’s role and told us it is not likely anything would be announced until Comic-Con or after. The previous list of potential characters he could play, however, has been slashed down to three choices, including: Noh-Varr, Rick Jones and Clint Barton (not as Hawkeye yet). Our source did confirm he would be “working with Fury” and would likely have a future in the upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. film.
UPDATE: You can find the report I was referencing about the Nathan Fillion rumor here.
UPDATE #2: Kevin just tweeted this morning that he will NOT be Clint Barton/Hawkeye in The Avengers. So we can cross that character off the list.

I didn’t believe the Nathan Filion thing… seem too good to be true.
Noh Varr is really random to be included on these lists for him to not be him. But honestly, he could pass for any of the three. Marvel need to confirm his character and hire some more Avengers!
I think he’s Rick Jones. But I wouldn’t mind either of these three.
Give the kid an arrow and i’ll be happy.
Am I the only one who does not like Nathan Fillion??
I now think that he will be Rick Jones.
I’m not really sure who Nathan Fillion, I willdo some research to see if he’d be good as Hank
Now what reaon ya’ll have to eher want o not want Nathan as Hank?
What “recent reports” said Fillion was Ant-Man? LINK
That was never “reported” to be the case ever, just fans saying that because Whedon is directing.
No Clint Barton?
Noh-Varr FTW then…
