The Avengers Is Nick Fury’s Movie?
In an interview with SciFi Wire, Samuel L Jackson states that Nick Fury is the star of The Avengers movie
“The Avengers is my own starring vehicle for that character, pretty much,” Jackson said in a group interview on Monday in Beverly Hills, Calif., where he was promoting the drama Mother and Child (which happens to open the same day as Iron Man 2, May 7).”
It makes sense that he will have a more significant role in that film since his character has been and will be limited to cameo’s in all the films leading up to it. It just doesn’t sound right that it would be a “starring vehicle” for his character Nick Fury. First off, the film is going to be an ensemble. Clearly one that will be dominated by the presence of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. Not only will the power of those personalities be in the spotlight, but their characters are the leaders of this group of Avengers. What I’m trying to get at is, man, I really hope Nick Fury isn’t the main character in The Avengers!
