Sam Rockwell Talks Justin Hammer In Iron Man 2

Hammer/Rockwell

MTV caught up with Sam Rockwell at the Tribeca Film Festival recently and he spoke a bit about what we can expect from his portrayal as the villainous Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2.

They wanted to go with a rival for Tony Stark who is closer to his age, and make him American,” Rockwell told MTV News of the new look for the Marvel villain.

For those of you unfamiliar with the character from the comic books, I put together a side by side comparison of the character vs. what Rockwell is supposedly going to look like in the film.  In the original books, he was from Britain, but in the interview Rockwell states that they’ve gone with an American version of the character.  A quick read through the villains Wikipedia page shows that they might be going with the “Ultimate” version of Justin Hammer, who is “from the south of the US rather than Britain”

For those that want to read up a little more on the character, head over to Marvel’s official bio page listed below.
