We’re Talking About Iron Man 3 Already?

You’ll remember Faran Tahir from the first installment of the franchise as terrorist leader Raza.  Well he seems to think that he may be the character that eventually becomes the Mandarin in Iron Man 3.

“Is he the conduit to Mandarin?” Tahir said. “Does he become Mandarin? Is it just another leader of the Ten Rings, you know, thing? All the allusions [in] my first speech was all about Genghis Khan and all that, which is Mandarin’s thing, you know? So I think they have created the character and the storyline very wisely. To leave it as open as possible so whatever they need to, you know, pull from, they will.”

This could mean many so many things, but the one thing he’s got right is that there will be an Iron Man 3.  Everything else is just speculation at this point.  Yes, the Mandarin does seem to have a role in this story, how big of a role has yet to be determined.  Also, I would think that they go with a bigger actor (not to discredit Tahir) to play the superhero’s arch-nemesis, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.  In other news, one week of shooting in the can!
