New Release Dates…

Marvel has made a very significant announcement regarding three of the films that we are all very much paying attention to here at AvengersNews.  I’ll let you read their words from the official press release.

“Marvel Entertainment, Inc. , announced today an adjusted release pipeline for its self-produced feature film properties that reflects the first time individual Super Hero characters and story arcs will be inter-woven and culminate in a multi-character motion picture.“

They go on to officially announce the release date for Spiderman 4 but also the properties we’re really interested in.

“Additionally, Marvel Studios has revised the release dates for THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA as part of its release strategy for an uninterrupted road to THE AVENGERS, now debuting May 4, 2012.”

I’ve listed those dates for you at the bottom of this post.  What’s funny is that this sucks for Ant-Man.  As of right now, it doesn’t look like he’s a priority as Edgar Wright is off filming his adaptation of Kick-Ass for Marvel as well.  It just makes you wonder if he’s gonna play a role in any of this especially since he’s on of the founding members of The Avengers.

Now, I’m gonna rant a little bit here, but since these movies have been pushed back, Thor and The Avengers being the most affected, I want to urge everybody to speak up.  We have even more time now to bitch, cry, moan, praise, and flat out discuss these films.  We’ve had the site around for a while now and more and more people stop by every day.  Some of you comment from time to time and I could not be more appreciative of that and of everybody who’s joined the forum and started threads.  But we have so much time before these movies come out, we could get some really good discussions/fights going about what’s happening behind the scenes of these movies.  I hope we hear more from you all soon since news is gonna really start to pick up, If not, that’s cool too.  But lets make the most of this time before these movies have come and gone.  Thanks!
