Emily Blunt Officially Not In Iron Man 2

Jon Favreau confirmed last night during the Academy Awards post show that Emily Blunt is officially not going to be appearing in Iron Man 2.

“On E!’s post show at the red carpet of some party, Jon Favreau said that Fox exercised its ["Gulliver's Travellers"] option on Emily Blunt, and that she definitely won’t be in ‘Iron Man 2.’“

Well, it sucks, but it’s easier to accept now since we knew this was probably going to happen (previous story here).  Also, since we might be getting Scarlet Johansson instead, all is not lost.  I wish Favreau would have commented on that but apparently he did not.  He went on to say that Mickey Rourke is a “fan”, but we knew that already as well.  As I stated in an earlier post, it’ll be interesting to see what Mickey Rourke does now that he didn’t win the Best Actor Oscar.  Either way, still sucks about Blunt though.
