Edgar Wright Speaks About Ant-Man
An interview just popped up online in which writer/director Edgar Wright (Shaun of The Dead, Hot Fuzz), spills a little bit of info regarding his upcoming adaptation of Marvel’s Ant-Man. In the interview, he touches on how they will be tackling the tone, since the source material was more comedic in nature. He compares his take on the superhero to that of the recently released Iron Man, which is a good thing. He’s been able to successfully take on the zombie genre and the cop genre without flinching. I don’t think the superhero genre should be a problem for him. Check out the rest of the interview at the link below.

WHO CARES?!?!?!?!?!
well maybe if you had read antman you might have noticed that it prolly wont take well to the screen regardless of who is directing it. not to mention who is sure to play nick fury…

Thanks for linking to my blog on the Edgar Wright interview. It’s difficult to say if Ant-Man will be a success – the technology is definitely at a stage to make it happen though. I told a girl at work about Ant-Man and she burst out laughing, so it might have a way to go at convincing the mainstream. If Marvel want Ant-Man in the Avengers, then I guess they will go ahead with a solo movie first. I also want Scarlet Witch in the Avengers, but wonder if that will happen, unless she gets introduced in the proposed Magneto movie.
I agree, but I would really like to see this movie happen with Edgar Wright directing. I think the style of this comic book fits his very well and if marketed correctly, I think you could have Hellboy-like success.
Sneak images posted on MTV news from the Scott Pilgrim vs the World trailer is epic “epic of epicness.” The ultimate battle pic Scott vs Gideon is aaamazing. Comic books and video games – seems like Wright’s nailed it. Can’t wait!
Wow! what an idea ! What a concept ! Beautiful .. Amazing …
